Description:
Thallus is a dark green, unbranched, uniseriate filament. When fertile, the single chain of barrel-shaped cells, visible to the naked eye, looks like a necklace of small jade beads.Habitat: This spring ephemeral is found on rock (usually cobble) in the low intertidal of semi-exposed habitats.
